The 61st PAAOHN Annual Conference Connections - Past, Present, Future will be held April 17-18, 2024 at the Monroeville Doubletree.  The conference has been submitted for CEUs and Case Management continuing education credits including one ethics credit.  Application approval is pending. Most recently, Dr. Kusti completed successful tenure as Corporate Medical Director at United States Steel Corporation (U.S. Steel) at the Pittsburgh, PA location. Prior to that role at U.S. Steel, he had been a U.S. Steel Plant Medical Director for several years at the Mon Valley Works Plant. Dr. Kusti recently joined Pivot Onsite-Innovations as a Medical Director. He also serves Floss Bar Inc. as its consulting CMO, and has joined the “CMO on Demand” and “Corporate Medical Advisors” consulting firms. Dr. Kusti served as an Associate Service Fellow at the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) at the CDC for a year following the completion of an occupational medicine residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine and the School of Public Health in Morgantown, WV. He completed his master’s degree in Public Health at West Virginia School of Public Health. Dr. Kusti is Board certified as a specialist in Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and is a certified Medical Review Officer, a Certified Professional Supervisor for Audiometric Monitoring Program, as well as a Certified Medical Examiner for the FMCSA.

Ruth is the co-staff lead for the Racism in Nursing work and manages ANA’s COVID Education and Occupational Health Initiatives – Workplace Violence/#End Nurse Abuse Initiative, Safe Patient Handling and Mobility, Precision Health, AI in Nursing, Opioids Prevention, and Gun Violence Prevention, representing ANA at national and federal stakeholder meetings. Ruth also represents ANA on CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice Workgroup related to COVID-19 vaccine education.
